Cheers guys, I also respect what auto lusso are saying and andy but at this moment in time the only way to save my spider is a replacement engine due to money. We are selling our house so will need every penny for all the fees and the only thing I have requested......a double garage.
Yep buy a cheap 156 ts and swap it over would be the most cost effective thing todo, but time is also something I have little of, I have three boys 8,6 and 10week old and then a there's the wife who likes to spend as much time as poss with me!?! I can't think why lol!
I get up at six o'clock Sunday morning just so I can have a hour or two playing with my v6 gtv project. It's very hard to create alfa time these days so my options are
pay for someone else to fix it
Have another knackard alfa sat on the drive (already v6 gtv)
Corky I did have a previous red spider..... The bottom end failed on that one, then rear ended so sold it on. I do drive my alfas hard every now and then but that's half the fun.
There is no question this is a nice spider with all the mods I have added, is it a keeper? It is.......until I can afford a v6 spider and transfer all the goodies across....,but that won't be anytime soon.
