Its very, very easy. I did mine about 12months ago.
There are instructions in the workshop manual, do you have access?.... all you need to do is follow them.
Its about 45 mins work, only a few tools needed. You will need a 2nd pair of hands to help you physically remove the hood from the car when the bolts are removed.... its a heavy old bugger.
Re-fitting is essentially the reverse, although a little more complicated as you have to worry about alignment... there is a certain order in which to tighten bolts etc.
Is the same hood going back on? If so, mark the relative position of the hood frame to the car, so you can get it back in roughly the same spot.... there is a surprising amount of adjustment available.
I put a new hood on, and the most time consuming issue was aligning the rear pins correctly so that the hood closes, and stays closed (over bumps etc). It took me hours and hours and hours, and lots of test drives to make sure it was right!!
