Well, shame on all of you for never mentioning before just how much fun one of these toys are! Had I known, I would have sold a kidney years ago!
Picked up the car on Saturday morning - saw her peeking round the corner of the driveway, bags packed and obviously eagerly awaiting my arrival.
With trepidation I climbed in, not entirely sure that I would fit, being all of 6 foot 3. No such worries and there is plenty of headroom, which I wasn't expecting. Not having a sunroof must help.
Really like the way everything falls to hand so naturally and the gearchange is a peach! Love the close ratios! Filled up with petrol with some of ASDA's finest vintage ( exactly how big is that tank??? At £50 I called it quits! )
Then we headed for the M40 and London bound. Despite the torrential rain and all round damp misery, she hurtled along with such enthusiasm. ( Writhes around a bit in the wet though! ) Passed a Ferrari 456 in a similar blue and couldn't help but feel sorry for him.
I keep grinning every time I drive it, which has been a lot. Once the roads had dried out yesterday, I could play with it's limpet like grip! So much fun. Even my mother liked it.
I have washed and cleaned the inside and all seems in order, with just some minor things to attend to. All in good time though. For now, I have to run an errand in, uhm, Yorkshire.....
