Just got back into Alfa ownership after nearly a 12 month break! If anyone has read my other threads you'll see my prior Alfa ownership was not without issue! However once these things get under your skin...
Anyway, i was looking for another Busso powered car but really couldn't find anything suitable, (for my pocket anyway!). During my search I found and, originally declined, a 2002 GTV 2.0 TS. (GU51 ***) as I thought it was not what I wanted, however I soon realised a 1 owner, FSH car with 69k original miles was a little unusual. Add to that the car drives without issue, no knocks or bangs, doesn't overheat, (and no warning light on!) and I was more than a little tempted. Could this be the 'daily driver' i had originally wanted? So i bought the car from the original owner, via a dealer.
Now the car sits in my garage. Technically its a 3rd car as there are a number of jobs to be done prior to regular use - but this gives me BIG problem I had not foreseen...
I bought the car with the intention of doing a light restoration over the next few months and then enjoying the things through the summer, BUT I'm now tempted to go further and modify the car further to release more of the Alfa 'experience' (Think performance!!).
However - and this is the REAL issue, should I do this or leave it 'stock' and nearer original?
Have wrestled with this for a week now... What to do?
Anyone been here before? Which way did, (would), you go???
