The transponder chip is the immobiliser chip. So i'm assuming its the remote circuit board your missing?
You can't use the 156 remote board on a GTV the systems are different.
To program a new remote you need a key with its code. And your red code card. If you havent then there are guides on the forum on how it can be done without.
Alternatively try contacting AbacusAlarms http://www.abacuscaralarms.co.uk/re-.../alfa-gtv.html
Very usefull information !
I have 2 GTVs,non of them has a alarm system and siren...
My cars are with left driver`s direction,I live in Europe, both cars are made for italian market.
I have paper with 4 digit code for my genuine keys.
So the cars looks like originally does not have alarm systems according to the web site you gave me link for.
Both GTVs I have have 3 keys-older is with 3 keys with 2 additional chips and and chip reader on the gearbox next to it with red led.
The newer car is LIMITED EDITION MOTUS 2002 YEAR.
Its 3 keys are different like I explained.
In 2 of the 3 keys there is little black chip with numbers on it.I do not unpart the third key.
I just want to make remote central lock/unlock working.
The board and the battery in the key were missing,so I get new board and battery and put them to my key, they are working, the red led is working.
I have 4 digits code for the original genuine key for my MOTUS.
Could I programe the board of the AR 156 in my key,so the central locking is working?
Will I need the 4 digits code for the 156 board,I could ask them,if it is needed .
Now again I explained everything with details, hope you will understand me,you help is apreciated !
