GTV - idling at well below 750rpm
It's odd. It was OK until it had it's MOT. It *knows*. It's been sat for a year, and it wasn't behaving then (so it's not going to get any better).
Drives lovely, but unless I'm really careful, it will stall when I lift off in traffic with the clutch depressed.
When it doesn't the battery light flashes and it idles with the rev counter needle sitting on the bottom stop, or just off it.
Did a idle actuator clean out and ecu reset last night (though it wouldn't start without touching the pedals, and needs a blip on the gas pedal to get it started).
Cleaned the butterfly valve too.
Checked the hose for splits - can't find any.
I have a spare MAF so I'll give that a go.
1) Replace Lambda Sensor?
2) Replace Idle Actuator.
3) Thermostat? - someone said the top hose shouldn't get warm right away - it does - but engine seems to run at 90 unless I've got all the hot air fans on to warm my toes up/demist the screen. Would this affect idle?
4) What is the odd "rattling of relays" that comes from in front of my right knee when I'm just "driving along" with no affect on anything so much as I can tell.
I think I'll just book it in with Wyn for him to have a look, but it's kind of interesting to wonder, eh?
