Alfa red paint job required West Yorkshire

Hi There,

I'm looking to get my faded red paint sorted, I need the Bonnet, Rear Bumper and Rear Quarter panel spraying in Alfa Red (130) I think. Can any body help me find someone to do the job?

Alternatively is it worth doing myself or would that just be biting off more than I can chew?

Is it hard to spray a bonnet?

I'd be grateful for your help.

Not that difficult, if you read up on it, and know a bit about cross coats, flashing off, and caution with clear coats. This is thinking along the lines of you using a nitro-synthetic, type paint, and a clear acrylic lacquer. You're best practising on a large area first, with a good gun, about 8" fan, etc. Worst problem is dust. Johnboy is the most up- to-date on this sort of job, my spray work is well out of date. Johnboy hasn't posted much recently, too busy I expect?:

I wouldn't fancy doing a GTV/Spider bonnet - its a pretty big area so to get it perfect may take a bit of skill.

Also yes dust and flies are a problem if you dont have the right environment. Did a bumper at work in less than perfect conditions and a load of little flies made a right c ock of it
