Re: dam air-con
Firstly, I know nothing about Alfa a/c systems, but a little about a/c in general.
Assuming that the system is gassed up,
firstly is it leaking gas. ie after being topped up, is the system still full of gas?
If so, the next thing I'd look at is the compressor. Is it running, cutting in/out as it should? You may be able to hear it cutting in, & may also be able to hear a slight drop in engine revs for a second or so.
OK, so assuming there is sufficient gas in the system, & its being pumped around by the compressor, the next culprit may be the intermix valve. This is usually an electronically operated valve which allows the cool air into the system, & also shuts off the warm air supply. Is the solenoid for the valve OK, & power supply to it also OK?
I have been up all night, & so may be making some silly mistakes due to jet-lag, so apologies if thats the case, but eliminating the possible causes one-by-one is the way to go. Hope you get it sorted before our summer kicks in!
Oh, by the way. What ever happened to global warming?
