This thread is quite fascinating I find?
Why so? Well a few weeks ago as I mentioned on AO, i got the missus to take her K car into the local tyre fitting shop to get a rear o/s puncture repaired.
I gave here instructions to view if she could, exactly how they jacked the rear end to remove the offending wheel.
On her return she told me she was able to view the method they used, which was a trolley jack.
On her return from the tyre centre I got low down on a sheet of my box cardboard and had a good 'shuftie' using a decent torch. Result?
Not a mark at all that I could see, so I am just, only, guessing that they possibly had some sort of adaptor that sat on the saddle of the trolley jack to help prevent damage to the sills?
