Re: GTV Slave cylinder replacement help please
Work from engine bay remove air cleaner cover and intake sleeve.
Empty brake fluid reservoir using suitable syringe.
Move injection wiring to gain access to clutch cylinder (slave).
Slacken 2 screws fastening clutch control cylinder (slave cylinder).
Disconnect hose leading from the pump from (to?) the clutch control cylinder (this from manual and for pump read clutch master cylinder).
When replacing reverse above. Replace fluid in reservoir with fresh and keep an eye on the level during the rest of the procedure.
Take off cap to bleed screw and fit a length of tubing leading to a container, slacken bleed screw as an assistant operates pedal and keeps pedal in down position. Tighten bleed screw, allow assistant to release pedal and then repeat until all air bled from system. Top up fluid and replace bleed screw cover. Check operation of clutch and gears. rplace air cleaner cover etc.
Make sure you have correct size spanners before you start.
Torque hold down screws to 13 to 16 Nm.
If you can, the hose fitting to 17 to 19 Nm, a bit more tricky.
