Here is another Ph2 car on a S reg that has some Ph1 features, ie, Ph1 bonnet grill and lack of rear side wing badges to confirm my earlier point that the period between Ph1 & Ph2 production had some 'fluid' features common to both, again on that S reg. This one has a manual hood. On ebay item number 251784409809. Looks a decent car for that price, cant go wrong really, belts recently done and looks clean, will only go up in value
From the advert's description: CAR SUSTAINED SOME ACCIDENT DAMAGE BACK IN 2008 BUT WAS PROFESSIONALLY REPAIRED
So it's been painted, probably had rear wing badges removed & a Ph1 grill fitted. It does look like a bargain though, IMO.
it's a Ph2 with a Ph1 grill retro fitted. The Ph1 grill was not factory fitted to Ph2s which had the newer chrome grill as part of the Ph2 'facelift' along with the silver dash centre etc. My THREE
Ph1 V6 GTVs had the newer chrome grill fitted, I thought as std but.....EDIT
: these must've been fitted later as Eper shows from their chassis numbers that the Ph1 grill was fitted when new.
The only crossover feature, that I know of, which was available pre Ph2 release was the Momo leather....which we incorrectly call Ph2 seats, I've had a few Ph1 Spiders & a Ph1 V6 GTV with these later
seats. Take a look at Ph 2 cloth seats they're Ph1 style, as are Cup seats which have cloth centres & these were produced from 2001!!??
The problem I have is that if mis-information is posted/written often enough it starts to become fact
due to it cropping up in searches etc & then being re quoted.
