3.2 V6 does it need a Q2 diff

Got a 3.2 spider

here loads of scare stories about Q2 diffs or not having a Q2 diff

does it need one or are these scare stories akin to cam belts and ducati scare stories

I'd get one.

Had one in my 2.5 and got one in the GTA.

AO has a busted diff club

Apparently it really transforms the handling, eliminating the torque steer. I'm opting for a Quaife Diff.

Get it for the increased driving control and you get piece of mind for gearbox going boom, it's a cracking upgrade.

My first V6 diff blew and took gearbox with it !

I'm def fitting the Q2 to my current V6 when I get the funds and time. Just driving around gingerly in it in the mean time just in case !!

The best upgrade you can do. As has been said it transforms the handling and gives you peace of mind as diff failure on the V6 is quite common. Don't want to worry people unnecessarily but many failures seem to occur at low speed.

Get one
Even though the 3.2 has the electronic ads the q2 or quaife is defo needed for performance driving and will also help cope with additional tuning upgrades that you know you want

156GTA Q2

I have the Q2 fitted too. Its great in the racetrack. It reduces understeer in tight corners and when you floor it. When driving in track allways ASR off, it cuts power too much even when you have Q2. The ASR works that if both tires are slipping -> reduce power and if only other tire slips it brakes the slipping wheel. Its also nice aid when driving snowy/icey roads (we got those here in north once a year)

I really suggest to have one installed !

I would say yes, peace of mind, excellent upgrade, better handling and is useful in the snow (although my spider does not go out in the winter but my 156 does)
