No, I wouldn`t think you need a garage for this, ball joint separator tool needed however in order to separate the hub carrier from wishbone , other than that fairly simple job, much easier than on 147/156 for example. These cars have fairly simple front suspension layout, rear one is different story. So, disconnect shock absorber from hub carrier, disconnect the tie rod end and lower ball joint using ball joint separator tool, take out the drop link and 4 bolts fastening the arm to subframe and it is out. If all bolts cooperate with you, I would say not more than an hour to remove.
