Immobiliser playing up
Finally collected my GTV Cup yesterday evening. On the way back home, got in a petrol station, refuel the car, the immobiliser light came on the dash board and wonít went away. Car wouldnít start obviously. Armed and dis-armed the car couple of times, still no luck. Try the other set of car, immobiliser light went off and car start straight away. So I thought 1 of the key was bad.
But I was wrong! Went to Ikea on the way home. When I came back to the car, same problem again. But I tried all keys, they all couldnít set off the immobiliser. Almost midnight, started panicking. Suddenly the light went off and car start again after numerous attempts.
When I got home, I switched the car and test the immobiliser again, problem persisted. Frustrated and I went to bed. This morning I gave it another try, no problem at all, immobiliser went off at first try. I donít know what to do with it?
The car has the standard Meta system. Another funny thing is when I arm and dis-arm the car, only indicators on the right hand side flash twice. All 3 on the left hand side donít flash at all, but they are working fine when giving signal. Does this relate to the immobiliser problem?
Can some one shade some light please. Shall I take her to dealer or alfa specialist? I think if immobiliser problem, better take it back to dealer? I donít know why, I just have a felling like this, not that the car is under warranty or what.
Also there are a few specialist in the London area, how they compare? Any experience with them. I used AutoDelta once when I had the 147 GTA. They were quite good and I wouldnít mind to take the GTV there, but would they be able to solve the immobiliser problem is my concern.
