2.0TS Oil level

Just had the Spider serviced this week and now have the sickly smell of hot/burning oil coming into the car through the air vents when stationary.

I checked the level and it has been overfilled. Possible as much as an inch or so over the full mark. Since I am very fortunate to have a TS that needs no oil tops ups between services (!) it will take a long time to burn off.

In the meantime I am thinking Cat damage, various burst engine seals (crankcase etc.). How worried should I be and should I get them to take out the excess pronto?

Any ideas?
