Hi, i've just put my GTV up for sale Advert here
, and thought i'd put some info on it here
My commute is about to get longer, and life calls for a hatchback again, so I’m putting my Alfa GTV for sale.
Overall its a clean and tidy low mileage car with the odd scuff, age related scratches, good daily driver. As you can see, she washes up nice! She’s been a really reliable car until a few weeks ago (see below) but now fixed and back to form.
2001, 64K miles, FSH (60K service done and stamped @56,692)
Full 12 month MOT, is taxed but under new scheme (ie non transferable)
Full black leather interior, very good nick
Runs lovely, and handles nice, all stock, doesn’t use any oil
Looking for £1600 ono
Call 07773 780 272 or PM on here if you need further details, or arrange viewing
If you want to test drive, bring your licence and proof of insurance else i’m driving you!
Since owning the car…
Swapped the knackered alloys, for those super shiney ones
upgraded Fli speakers and DAB head unit (originals were awful, kept original grills)
replaced N/S window motor and regulator
replaced N/S door card (broken)
new crank sensor
oil, filter, and rad coolant change 2 days ago
It got keyed about 12” long on the boot return lip (by badge) by a tw@t a few weeks ago
Clutch release bearing is whirring a bit (common fault)
Few slight scuffs and scrapes by previous owners, or other doors in car parks
Haven’t been able to get the airbag light to go off and had to cover it up for the MOT
As i mentioned, a few weeks ago I had a break down with her, basically…
ECU light came on, car cut out. I thought it was a water light!
Also thought there was hardly any oil in it (there was plenty)
Changed the thermostat (which was stuck open, and giving dodgy temp readings)
Turned out after being advised to check diagnostics it was the crank sensor
Since fitting the new crank sensor, ive been on a 50 mile run, and usual use, no problems running fine!
