Sorry for the resurrection of the thread but I am just about to refresh the front suspension with Eibachs, new McPherson struts and lower wishbones etc. after the winter project of polybushing the rear with refurbed and shot blasted rear suspension components. I am pondering a front strut brace and can see that Weichers, Ultra Racing and Sparco all have something to offer.
I have also read this thread and the others regarding fitment and effectiveness. All three are within the same price range but there are various mixed messages regarding the ease of fitment and the effectiveness when fitted. One of my main concerns is that looking at the engine bay (2001 phase 2 CF3) there are relays etc. which would be in the way (RH side looking at the bay) and if it too high bonnet shutting would be all but impossible.
The Sparco can be adjusted so tensioning maybe a consideration after fitting to the turrets but Ultra Racing seems to get good reviews for ease of being fitted anyway.
Like all Spider owners mine has scuttle shake and anything that would reduce it whilst at the same time potentially improve the cornering and handling and add bling to the engine bay is worthwhile!
What are others experiences?
