Re: why's my clutch pedal sticking ??
I recently acquired a gtv (but a v6) and have been concerned about the clutch being on the way out. It was so heavy I couldn't believe AR would have let it out of development! Dealer of course just kept on about how the clutches on such 'high performance cars' tended to be heavy! A vintage Bentley has a lighter clutch than this had! Anyway, under the bonnet at the weekend tinkering and decided I'd oil those bits of clutch I could see. I put plenty on the end of the clutch slave rod where it pushes on the operating lever and also all around the other end of the operating lever, where it pivots on the bell housing. Didn't expect much of a difference. Oh yes there is! I actually used plenty of WD and oil (oil for lubrication and WD to get it into the bushes). Thniking back, I should have tried to lift the operating lever at the same time, bound to be a bit of end float thta would allow the lube in easier. There was a bit of a tell-tale red stain around the boss on teh bellhousing. Id say worth a try, depending on the age/hisotry of your car.
Doesn't say that in the manual
