Mine ran at just over 80 with a new thermostat.
Anyway it came close on emissions so I checked the lambda sensor.. It was switching, but slow causing it to run slightly rich. Plugs looked OK.
Anyway after fitting a new lambda and therefore sorting the mixture out it is running at or just below 90 now. Rock steady. In traffic and at speed..
Much better. More sparkly engine and better throttle response
These things are designed to run leanish, so slightly rich won't show up by just looking at the plugs.
I think the lambda sensor is often overlooked. the books say 60k miles.. mine had done about 100k.
Worth checking it .
Gettin' to old for this sh*t
