Hand Brake Cable Replacement

MOT time for the GTV coming up. I think the hand brake could be a fail. In everyday use it is fine but i have suffered a bit of creep on a couple of rather steep junctions.
How straight forward in a cable transplant?
I have read some previous posts regarding setting up of rear brakes (set pads to face of disc, wind piston out, attach cable) which sounds a bit more effort than i have time for, so i might just have the cables in reserve.

Re: Hand Brake Cable Replacement

There is an adjuster nut under the handbrake lever. Undo the boot and lift the lever to see. Sounds like it just needs a we tighten up.

There is no adjustment for the cable at the caliper end.
