When wasthe last time you know the DOT4 was changed? I would change master before i start looking at input bearing and the master cylinder is a total swine of a job unless you are a young fella who is prepared to remove inlet manifold in order to ensure job is done right. Master Cylinder i thi.k £50-60 and three hrs mechanic labour or DIY.
PS: Are you finding the clutch pedal on the floor when driving? Can youift pedal with toe and it remains solid again but at any time might drop to bulkhead again?
Another sympton is a fluid stain on carpet just up by pedals?
First thing id do is change hydraulic fluid and flush system, i did this in mine and had a nightmare air lock in abs unit that took ages to sort. The fluid that came out was black in places and im currently enjoying great brakes and clutch having changed both master and slave once new fluid exposed their weakness.
