I left mine for 18 months recently (under cover and moved occasionally)
It needed new oil, coolant, brake fluid, gearbox oil, the brakes freeing up, the antenna freeing up, new clutch master cylinder, the clutch bushes lubing, new battery, window mechanisms lubing, all hinges lubing, new cambelt and new auxiliary belt. The tappets sounded horrible until the oil was flushed and changed and the radio display had bled which made putting the code in and tuning stations interesting! (actually, can anyone give me instructions on adjusting the fader back to front without being able to see the display?). On the plus side, the tyres hadn't flat spotted.
Now multiply that by 2 and factor in the cost of changing those wheels. As long as it hasn't rusted, as long as you like the colour change and it was done well, you have the time to spend on it and enjoy doing that sort of thing, it has got to be worth a punt.
