Can't hurt to try disconnecting the battery for 30mins or so and seeing if the light goes out.
In relation to the airbag light, my understanding is that even if you disconnect the battery the warning light will stay on. You need to connect your ECU to diagnostic software to clear the fault. Its really common and happens if someone moves the seat whilst the ignition is on (Alfa quirk I suppose). So you need to hook a computer up to the car and clear the error code. Usually there isn't actually anything wrong with the car unless you are unlucky like me and actually have a pre-tensioner fault.
But basically, to clear the airbag light either do it yourself with an OBD cable or when you get the car serviced just get your mechanic to hook it up and clear the code. Then remember not to move any of the seats while the ignition is on and the light should stay off (its not full proof but the best way to avoid it). Most on here would recommend to get your own cable though as the issue usually comes and goes quite regularly and there's no point paying money to clear it every time!
