Not sure if you got this message through your PM, but in case you didn't i'll just post it here:
My ABS air bleed resolution:
Firstly I had to get hold of a registered copy of MES, the 'official' registration method costs 50 euros, this enables operation of all the ABS valves. The unregistered version does not allow you to operate the valves independently; you probably know this already. Also, bear in mind my ABS unit is from a Ph 2 99 V6 so it maybe a different Bosch unit from yours, probably best to check compatibility with MES.
I then set about bleeding & re-bleeding the brakes while operating the valves with MES. IIRC there are 3 valves per circuit. I was generally using the bleeding order RR, RL, FR, FL. Mostly I was seeing air bubbles in the rear circuits.
In between the bleeds I was driving the car across a grass track I have and braking hard, the ABS would kick in, this was in an effort to dislodge any other air in the ABS unit. After the drive I would go and bleed the brakes again (I just use an eezi bleed). Eventually I got a pedal with 'bite'. The brakes were good enough to pass the MOT, although I will be working on the rear compensator shortly.
I did also find a pdf document on the net of my actual Bosch ABS unit, this described the valves and the way it worked, this made sense at the time. It might be worth a search. IIRC one valve was more important than the others.
