Slight misfire/hesitation on part/half/full throttle
My GTV has had a throttle issue since I had it, only the last 10% of throttle left was always sticky, so you would have to push it through the floor for the throttle to move that last bit to 100% WIDE OPEN.
It never bothered me as I knew exactly how to handle it, I didn't/don't know why it does this though, I never looked into it.
Now, lunchtime I go to fetch my babies and I immediately feel that the throttle input does not match the revs/pull from the engine.
I pay no mind to it and just drive under 2000rpm the whole way until the car warms up some more...I give it some throttle and the moment it goes over 3000rpm it starts to become hesitant, jerkish and almost like its not getting air/petrol?
This is when I change gear and drive it under 2000rpm again. I get to a stop and rev it to 6000rpm...it revs fine. I drive it and it becomes jerky but I press the throttle completely open and it jerks some more and then comes right. I stop at the girls' school, pick them up and thereafter its all fine again...
Sticky or dirty throttlebody? I parked it and took the GQV back to work. I'll have a look this afternoon...
