Nice to meet you too. Now you have me confused...
Must confess to not having used the front fog lights because I only ever took the car out of the garage on perfect weather days so as not to expose the bodywork to harsh environmental conditions. Its never seen fog
The only amusing lighting based story that comes to mind relates to the fact the stereo only works with the sidelights on.
I asked a well respected Alfa specialist to rewire the stereo through a switched live. When I pointed out that he'd wired it through a wire that only went live when the ignition and sidelights were on, he obviously offered to have another go.
No, I said, leave it, that's how Alfas work.
By the way, if anybody has studied the history of the car, they might have a guess as to who the Alfa specialist in question might have been...
Cards on the table, it was Paul at A for Alfa.
I'm sure he has enough custom not to need my endorsement, but he's an absolute star. He doesn't have quite the same profile of some specialists that get heavily promoted on this site, but he's spectacularly helpful, relentlessly knowledgeable, astonishing value for money and unlike other specialists of my acquaintance, absolutely exemplifies the values suggested by my own phrase 'that's how Alfas work'.
