How do you find the gtv compared to the coop. I owned a coop many years ago now and enjoyed throwing it into corners but the nose was always extremely heavy. Does the gtv suffer from under steer in the same way as the coop? Thanks
I really need to get more familiar with the GTV and in any case I suspect I need a full suspension refresh to comment fairly; also coupe is lowered on Eibachs and Bilsteins so not standard.
Personally I don't drive the cars hard nor like going round corners too fast, but one of the most immediate driving differences is how much the GTV likes turning into corners (bit like a Focus mark 1), it seems so much "sharper" and and alive in this regard than the Coupe. Overall I suspect it handles better, or at least handles more easily, because the Coupe could be a bit of a dark horse and handles well if you take it by the scruff of the neck.
What just boogles my mind at present is how the two cars can share the same Tipo under-pinings and the Coupe has room for 5 plus luggage whereas the GTV has room for 2 plus squash bags. How the hell did the Alfa guys engineer-out the space?

I think the rear suspension in the GTV accounts for the restricted boot space. I guess making them so different meant that Fiat had two distinct cars competing in that market segment?
