I was interested but cooled a little when found out the belts not changed since last snapped, -in 2005!
Ouch, no wonder it's only achieved 605 sovs so far! It would be true to say that I have a vested interest of course, but it seems to me that values on 916 spiders, and GTVs, are all over the place.
It also seems to me that people are even unwilling to pay reasonable money for mint low mileage examples, wittering on about how "nobody wants 'em mate" and kicking the tyres, dealers will tell you they can't sell them if you ask about part exchange, but will suddenly show interest again if you say they can have it for next to nothing. Let me be clear, I don't want to trade in or sell my Spider, and I have gleaned what I have just said from various sources including this forum.
I see that Clive of this parish always asks top dollar for any 916s he has in stock, he seems to sell them? I don't know who to, as Autotrader always has examples that are being practically given away.
Like I said the whole 916 value thing is a puzzle to me. By the way Clive, if you are reading this, if you got a nice red cup with about 40k on the clock and in pristine condition, and about 500 sovs, I'll have it!
Coat, getting, gone!
