98 ts spider

reverse light switch

Hi all,

I need to replace my reverse light switch on the gearbox. When I remove it, will oil leak out?
It's a 1998 TS spider series 2.

thanks in advance

If it's anything like the one on my V6, it is sat on top og the box though is a sod to get too...I found out the previous owner had disconnected mine as the reversing lights were stuck on! The part should be about 20 I think

On the front on a TS, but unlikely to lose much if any fluid - just have the new one to hand, and screw it in as soon as you remove the old one. You could always park it nose uphill to lower the oil level at the front of the box
