I am an upholsterer of 40 years, the spray adhesive is perfect, just follow the instructions, light even strokes and don't over spray. my advice would be to cut each pattern slightly larger and trim back with a sharp knife. Do a small section first to get the hang of it. Offer the cut fabric to the area to check it will fit, then apply the spray adhesive.
If the section is not flat, work from the center and push the fabric out towards the edges, then trim back. Faux suede is an excellent product and on the better ones it's had to tell the difference, they can mark so don't be too rough when you handle it and make sure your hands are clean.
