battery advice

after being away for a week and leaving the car with someone I come home to find the cars dead, presumably when the someone turned the engine over mid week they left something on.

Should I call someone out to charge the battery, use jump leads (looks like it would be awkward with the batterys location) or remove it myself and bring it somewhere for a charge (it doesnt look that difficult to remove - whats it like to put back in do??)

Re: battery advice

If possible it's best to remove and charge the battery to avoid damaging the sensitive electronics, however I've jump started my spider a couple of times without any problems. I think it depends how careful you are to connect the leads in the correct order and make a good contact.

Not saying this will work for you though, good luck.

Re: battery advice

You can charge the battery in-situ if you first remove the negative lead. Alternatively take the battery out of the car to charge it - very straightforward! Personally I prefer the second method as it allows you to check battery condition during charging.
