My wife and me went on a road trip. She didn't want to go in the GTV. We were going to take my Saab 9-5 Aero Estate.
As fate would have it, she got a puncture in her car; the 9-5 for the first time in ages had issues with a rough idle, so as we had little time to do anything else, we crammed our luggage into the GTV.
We left Swindon and took the motorways torwards Manchester and off near St. Helens.
The next day, we took the legendary Snake's Pass towards Sheffield.
Then next day it was Sheffield to near Ilkley, where we staying.
We took the GTV up Ilkley Moor.
We had fun on the A56, A650, A629 and A661.
The towns were lovely, the roads were fantastic.
The V6 noise was glorious.
Off course there's a couple of downsides.
The Air Con wasn't working.
The front brakes were annoying squeaky.
But well done little Alfa. You did just over 650 miles.
