The GTV we bought 2+ years ago, is finally back on the road.
2 Years ago I pulled an engine out of a 156, and placed it in the GTV then work picked up other project got in the way, and it sat. 2 weeks ago I got it up and running again, fixed some of the small niggles then banged it in for an MOT to see what it needed. Over the last couple of weeks, I replaced all the calipers, discs and pads, both hand brake cables some of the brake lines, all the brake hoses, both rear shockers, a number plate bulb. (All mot failures)
Then pulled the radiator, thermostat, fan resisitor, and temp sender and replaced thoses.
Today it went in for it's first "serious" MOT, and passed with only and advisory on handbrake reaching full travel, but we both agreed this was probably the new handbrake cable stretching and just adjust in a couple of weeks once it's settled down.
Insured and taxed it this afternoon, and had a first drive in it, couple of minor niggles, the exhaust is I think a custom exhaust and is knocking on the rear sub-frame (I think), drivers door staybar is broken, and the radio is crap.
I'm sure in another couple of years I might get round to fixing all three of those aswell
