Re: Extra performance?
Hi Gary, I had a BMC CDA kit fitted to my GT V6 - this was some time after and Angel Tuning re-map. Agree with GTVblue, most noticeable affect is increased induction roar when accelerating at low speed, but there's a definite improvement in the mid-to-upper ranges - probably because the CDA kit (if the intake is routed correctly) has a mini-supercharger effect when it's being force-fed air.
Not entirely certain of the individual power gains attributable to the induction kit alone (as I never had the car dyno'd before I did the work) but since I've added Novitec exhaust (est 10bhp), remap (est 15bhp) and carbon induction kit (est 5-10bhp), the car has been Red Dot dyno'd at 272bhp.
GTV makes another good point - the simple addition of an Autodelta free-flow filter to my Spider V6 caused the Airflow sensor to fail three times (this wasn't simple stalling - car was dead, had to be recovered), so take care. Angel Tuning said 'we have a MAF (airflow filter) blanking plate that we use, so when the car is first run up there is no danger of excess oil going onto the MAF.
