Is High mileage but well maintained collectable?
Noticed that a few threads of late mention the Gtv and future classic status, appreciating value and aging well.
I drive mine a lot, mostly A-roads and some Motorway along with occasional track days. Mileage around 115k (bought at 66k) but I replace/upgrade parts and keep it running well.
So in years to come do you think it will still be deseriable by a collector / enthusiast with say 160k+ on the clock but lot's of refreshed parts and runs well?
I know 'regular' people look down on high mileage cars but if it is rust free and got lot's of new parts surely it will be as good as a car the same age with less miles but with parts on their last legs.
I got thinking about this as while I kept the car looking standard up until now I was thinking of chaning the seats now I'm enjoying tracks days in the Gtv more and more.
Also seems a shame to keep such a drivable car locked up in the garage.
