So after 6 months of self denial, and the birth of my son, I'm finally admitting that I'm not going to have the time to do a few jobs on my spider in the foreseeable future, and that I better sell it before the wife scraps it for me.
My spider failed its mot back in November on a few things, but I think they are all doable by an average home mechanic over a weekend or so, so does anyone want to take it off my hands ? Before I commit it to ebay etc..
Its a 99 spider in black, 94k miles, I've attached the failure sheet, but basically to get it thro the mot it needs,
new mid and rear exhaust section
passenger airbag seatbelt pretensioner changing, ( I've tried the usual fixes )
front nearside suspension bush changing
there are some advisories, but non of them serious or imminent, its just the mot station covering themselves. eg gas strut doesnt support bonnet ! duh !
When the car failed in November, it was my daily driver, and everything was working fine tho I'd admit the exhaust was a bit noisy
( ok, so the rear box had fallen off ! )
and of course the suspension etc is a bit rusty, but only the usual for this age of car.
It had a replacement plastic rear screen fitted a year ago
bosch silver battery 18 months ago
The tyres are ~6k old, ( they are budget'ish ).
Currently the car is SORN, so no tax etc and 'officially' it needs trailering, tho it drives fine.
Attached pictures are from last summer, tho it looks the same now really.
I'm looking for £600 and I'm near Oxford.
