valuation for GTV V6

Friend of mine has a 1999 V plate GTV 3.0 V6 24 valve coupefor sale in metallic silver. It has the aero kit and leather seats,6 speed etc.
its done 47000 miles with 2 owners and full Alfa has the number plate M6 GTVwhich he values at 500.
I've been looking at various sites and values are all over the place.
its a tidy car and I may buy it but not sure what a reasonable value/price is .Any ideas anyone ??

Re: valuation for GTV V6

The prices vary because certain things can hammer the value, the most obvious examples being lack of cam belt change in the history or lack of masterkeys etc. So every car has to be judged on its merits. On the subject of plates,if you are someone who would spend £500 on a number plate thats fine, if not don't pay the extra. Sounds like a nice car though.

Happyman will have a better idea but I'd take a punt at about 3500 to 3850 depending on condition and excluding the plate.

Good luck.

Re: valuation for GTV V6

Paid £4400 for mine
Vreg 99 plate absolute minter with full alfa service history.
Leather, spoiler and bigger teledials wheels etc
Plus mine is on 80,000 miles so that sort of money you'd would be doing alright

Hope this helps

Re: valuation for GTV V6

David Zanetti: Private Plate aside, I'd reckon at closer to 5k for a car of that age in good condition with that sort of mileage. As Alfafamily has already said, if the cambelt service has been done/not done then this would effect value too. If you are saying that it has a full history then it should have been carried out by now though, 6 years or 72,000 miles (whichever comes sooner). You can expect to pay approx another 500 for a cambelt service if it has not been done so you might want to factor that in also. Hope that helps.
