Downpipe Heatshield V6
Few questions on this as I am about to fit new (to me) downpipes to my V6
The thin aluminium heatshield under the car, covering the leading bend in the front downpipe - mine has been mullered, at the same time as the original downpipe, presumably by a speedbump.
how important is this little heatshield? As far as I can see, it stops road debris hitting the downpipe and burning off.
Can anyone with a connected version of Eper confirm/deny if it is still available? At what price?
Has anyone run into problems running with this removed?
due to its nature of being made from little more substantial than a coke can, a used part from a breaking car is quite likely to be tired and brittle, if not already buggered up by hitting something.
Many thanks in advance... Tom
