The chrome bit (brushed stainless?) is tack-welded to the rear silencer pipe. That's obviously rusted and the tailpipe trim has fallen off.
As it was welded on, you won't be able to refit it unless you cut 2slots in the top and pass a Jubilee clip through them to clamp it to what's left of the tailpipe.
The Chavvy Halfords ones are chromed steel. They're pretty heavy, cost getting on £30 (i.e. 1/3 the price of a replacement silencer) are are likely to put extra strain on the joint between tailpipe and silencer box. After it's vibrated up and down for a few hours that welded joint is not going to last.
I'd save the cash.. bodge the existing trim back on and start saving for a new pipe.. if the tailpipe rusted away, the rest of the silencer is sure to be not too far behind.
No bullets for Chaingun..
