Whistling in the back

My GTV is plagued by a high-pitched whistling in the back when driving. What could it be? It's definitely not coming from the speakers, I've checked. (Garage also checked and came up with nothing.)

Unfortunately, it's very annoying and affecting my driving enjoyment considerably (ie, provokes a headache).

This noise is (thankfully) not a feature in my 916 Spider, so any ideas?

I had something like this. I had noticed that, when I was shutting any of the doors, the rear screen was moving. It turned out that the rear screen had disbanded. Noise was evident when approaching 65ish. For a temp fix, I had taped up (black insulation tape0, the rear screen seal to the body/roof, which worked quite well, even the screen installer mentioned the fact.

Could be a window seal like Stixy suggested or perhaps the fuel pump is on its last legs?

My fuel pump made a very high pitched sound after the fuel tank dropped to a quarter tank and I did a few laps of Brands Hatch. Think air might have got into it due to the fuel sloshing around. Although after about an hour of resting it was back to the normal quieter but still audible sound.

When it was loud it was very annoying and fear inducing.

My wind had been rattling and whisling at around the 70ish , been like it for about 3 years until last week after buying some UHU glue and gluing around the seal , one less noise in car now .

Another vote for fuel pump here. Mine is ever so slightly noisy on occasion, also when fuel is around a quarter full. I think they make more noise as they get worse

I was guessing it was the fuel pump, sounds like a mechanical high-pitched whine rather than wind noise. I'll have to audition some new ones

Mine has the same noise and it is the fuel pump. Doesn't bother me as i have had audible pumps on a few previous cars and i am used to the noise.

And another one for fuel pump. Mine did that when i bought the car and my mech told me it is the pump but it is fine.
It seems better now. That or i don't hear it anymore - getting older after all.
