Rear crankshaft seal replacement

is it necessary to undo the sump while changing rear crankshaft gasket on a TS engine?

did mine with the engine out and sump off.. but if I remember rightly you would only have to undo the two sump bolts that go into the rear oil seal housing..

You don't need to shift the sump. But if you're leaking oil from the bell housing it's more likely to be the balancer shaft seals. Just had mine done. 10 for the parts and about 600 for labour!! Ha ha.
