DIY clutch changes have been discussed plenty of times before.
My honest advice is to get a garage to do it, but on a fixed-price basis.
I had mine done last year, and the garage agreed to a fixed-price quote of €600 (quoting 4hrs labour from their machine).
It took them 10-12hrs in the end.
Almost every single bolt was seized / rusted / rounded and even with all the right tools it took them that long! However they were gents and stuck to their quote.
If everything comes apart as it should, then I think DIY is definitely doable - however, come across one pig of a bolt in the wrong spot and you are likely to be either
a) completely screwed
b) end up spending lots on tools!
Its one of those jobs where unless you know you have ALL the right tools, space, time and patience, its probably worth biting the bullet and having someone else do it for you.
