Woah dude, Ian is a grown man.
It is this mentality that shows why AR is such a low park Marque...most drivers think tinkering with it is for "fools" I tend to disagree...
People all like ARs for various reasons, yes sometimes youngsters mess up, Barry Boy threadis an example, BUT, at least they bought an AR and not the normal cars out there...please try and respect others' tastes, you like it stock, others like it modified.
OK, fair comment, I was not knocking the guy, just an opinion or observation.
yes I chose one as a keeper, so I wanted a virgin you could say lol
I just tended to see when I was looking for another Alfa,
so many that had been so messed up with bits from later models swapped about & parts modded, so it was hard to gather exactly what model it was I was looking at etc or one that was intact, so to speak.
Many had numerous previous owners & each had done something that in the end rendered it really not worth buying ! Reading posts often, I find people are experiencing lots of dramas because of this. I have a 69 Giulia, so I know these cars need at times some tinkering, that's their nature, they are real enthusiusts cars, but I do find, as I said, it hard to understand why some people want to totally change the car from how it was designed, but hey understand that's just MHO, as you said, some people will & some people won't,
I was not saying not to, just wondering what makes them do it & why ?
I'm thinking my car being close to original, will certainly grow in value much more than a modified bitsa, just saying
