I think by "pole" you mean battery clamp.
The two extra terminals on each battery clamp are electrically identical.
What is the big red wire with a gold terminal that you have attached to the earth battery clamp.??
Is it the earth for a fancy sound system??
If so.. then yes it should be connected to the earth battery clamp.
if it is not an earth.. disconnect it and find out what it is.
May I suggest disconnecting all the fancy sound system red wires and see if your fault goes away..
There should be connected to the positive battery clamp..
one big fat red wire. (the main battery cable)
one "skinny" red wire.. inside black plastic corrugated tubing
plus..Three other wires.. one of which is your black "culprit" wire and all of which are inside three black plastic corrugated tubes ( I cant remember the colours)
all four of these wires that are inside black plastic corrugated tubing are connected to the "extra" terminals on the positive battery clamp. (they won't reach across to the earth terminal)
You probably also have a fat red fancy sound system wire connected to the battery positive terminal.
Which is the positive feed for your fancy sound system.
it doesn't matter which of the two extra terminals you use on the positive battery clamp ..
may I suggest suggest two wires on each..
with or without washers..
Why did you take the "skinny" wires off the battery clamp when you removed the battery.??
Have you been guessing and connecting the wires up incorrectly??
check that your fancy sound system wires are the right way round. positive and earth.. they both appear to be red with gold terminals..
when you have connected everything up as I described ,check that the car is not in reverse and the indicator stalk is in the central position.
Gettin' to old for this sh*t
