Hi you are right it doesn't sit up as much as the other one, I didn't want a plastic wall behind the seats. I was thinking about the problem and its mostly to do with rolling air after the windscreen. Imagine the air being compressed against the bonnet then screen and then just tumbling around behind your head and rushing back from behind to fill the space. My idea was to deflect the tumbling air again and force the rolling air affect to happen over the boot. The mesh deflectors usually do mostly the same over the scuttle/shelf and diffuse the air allowing some pressure release. Mine forces the air up into oncoming air again.
Either way it seems to work. I brought it out for a blast with my 15yo daughter and her hair fairly much stayed in place.
My hair went in my early thirties and was no good for this test...
