maf issue on gtv turbo - or is it?
Been a while since I posted, here goes...
I didn't think the turbo model was cursed with maf issues as per it's big brother, though it wouldn't surprise me if it did. I have the following problem which I'll try and describe and see if it rings any bells with anyone as being similar.
Car when cold has plenty of urge to go, no issues but I never give the car beans until it's 90 degrees, so it possibly does happen then. When warm it's hit and miss as to whether it's going to do it or not. When it does it's fine, business as usual 3rd and overtake. When it isn't it's 3rd overtake hit flat spot, back off on the throttle, press throttle again, proceeds a bit higher up the revs and happens again. Just about scrape past what I want to overtake. Bearing in mind it has an excellent 30 - 70 time overtaking a diesel shouldn't be this hard!
So any thoughts much appreciated.
are MAF's repairable?
is it not worth bothering with repair, buy a new one?
