Soft Top Care

Hey, just wondering, any tips on how to care for the Spider's soft Top ?

Like, how is it best cleaned, how do you protect it from wear & weather ?

Mine is very nice, l think l am very lucky, it's been garage pretty much most of it's life, but of course, you do get caught out in some ****e weather at times, even over here in good old OZ, so I am looking at finding out from you guys out there, just watch you recommend.

suggest away cheers

I use a soft brush to clean it (sometimes I use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush) to remove dust and grit every other week when i wash it. But that is all really.
Once a year it gets thoroughly cleaned and impregnated. That's it.

I don't protect it other than regular cleaning to keep the grit and dust from affecting the cloth.
It lives outside all year around (apart from the visits to Amsterdam, when it goes into a garage )

I was impressed by the Autoglym kit of cleaner and impregnator. Cleaner restored it's 'blackness', impregnator still going strong with the beading effect after a few months. But, mask off all windows and surrounds when using impregnator, it's hard to get off...!

A hoover, a wash and - when dry Fabsil - do this twice a year (due now).
It seems to work.

Autoglym kit & Soft brush +1. Nail brush on edges that start to show mossy green stuff but dont go mad with it as it can damage an old hood.
