916 Spider (GTV) Parts Wanted!!!

Hey guys,

My Spider project has come to a bit of a halt recently, especially as it failed MOT on rear brakes and the the rear window broke in the soft top! I need some bits to help me solve this and bring the rest of the car back to life!

I need:
-Rear handbrake spring that fits on rear caliper
-rear window insert for manual roof (not sure i want to send off for replaced plastic, as the edge of window section is a bit iffy and new one's are dear!)
-Original gearknob with no wear
-Handbrake gaitor
-Front and rear phase 1 bumpers in silver
-Carpet section to cover battery

I'm located in Warwickshire, will travel within a reasonable distance to pick up items. Thanks!

You can't get a spring on it's owm from Alfa, you have to buy a new caliper, however i bought a Lambretta brake spring off ebay for 2, did the trick and passed the MOT.
I doubt if you will find a gear knob with no wear, unless you can buy a new one. For the rest look for one braking. Good luck with your hunt.

When adjusting the back/parking brakes do not do the usual thing and tighten using the cable adjusters. Back those off and press hard on the brake pedal several times and then use the cable adjusters to get the handbrake lever movement you want. You will see there is an actuating arm for the parking brake that will butt up against a peg even though the pads still have plenty of material remaining. The above simple procedure moves the arm further way from the peg and also gives a better angle between the arm and cable.
