Flat battery

Phase 1 Spider.

After a couple of days the car wont and battery is flat.

Strange thing is if I charge up the battery and leave it disconnected, then after a week connect it, the car starts fine.

Would anybody know what 'normal' current drain is?
I have 40mA, would that be about correct?
The positive terminal on the battery has a bus with 5 cables. 3 of them have a drain of 10mA each.

I am wondering if the battery is actually just about to die but it is strange that it does hold a charge when not connected.

The alarm and stereo are not connected.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

if it's a 60 Amp Hour battery.. with a drain of 340 mA.. it will go flat in about 180 hours..

yours goes flat in 48 hours..

battery could be knackered. what's the voltage with the car running after a 24 hour trickle charge??
cold weather doesn't help..
