Thinking of selling the GTV, how much is it worth?

I have just bought a Giulietta 170 and it is fantastic. So much faster than the GTV, far better on fuel, comparible handling but much more comefy. I have also enjoyed getting my weekends back as i spent a lot of time working on the GTV.

I few thoughts are crossing my mind, 1 is to keep the GTV, but it is expensive and I probably won't use it much, The other is to sell it as is. The final option is to finish it off and then sell it.

I bought it in November 2012 from a forum member for £1k. since then it has had the following:

New Clutch + Slave cylinder
New wisbones, droplinks and KYB dampers at the front.
New Radiator
2x oil changes, complete coolant change, Complete brake fluid change.
New spark plugs (all 8, genuine parts).
New Alternator
Replaced bumper support arms
replaced rear subframe
All rear arms powerflexed and hammerited.
New Rear disks, pads and copper brake lines.
Replaced ABS ECU
4x new premium tyres.
Correctly specced Spacers and bolts for 156 16" Teledials.
New drivers outer CV joint and both inner CV's rebuilt.
Replaced all springs with standard parts.
New Lambda, MAF (genuine bosch).
Air con delete
first silencer replaced with Ragazzon straight pipe
Backbox replaced with Biscione Racing single silencer.

After all that (and i am sure i have forgotton a few bits too) it has probably cost me in excess of £2k so the car owes me around 3k.

I still need to do the following:

Front Disks, pads and hoses need replacing.
1 engine mount is knocking
Strut top bearings are showing signs of wear but are still good.
Power steering pump is audible but working fine
Timing belt is due in June.
Door windows need adjusting.

The worst of it though is the bodywork. The bonnet looks like someone has gone over the laquer with a steel brush and there is a slight split next to the grill. The rear quarter has had a bad respray. Both sides look like a previous owner has only ever parked in the narrowest of spaces and have loads of door marks. The sills have also been badly jacked and are flattened in many places.

How much is it worth as is and is it worth me doing a few more jobs to get more money? TBH i think I would get more by breaking it but i have put in so much time, money, blood, sweat and tears that i don't want it to die.

916 gtv 2.0

If it was me, id keep it....youve spent so much time, money and effort getting to where it is, the money you'd get for it would be paltry in comparison.
Most potential buyers would run a mile if they saw the belt needed changing soon (i wouldn't, id be in the other category who'd use it as an excuse to beat down the price).
Finishing it, won't get you a lot of extra money either, it'd just make selling it easier.
For those reasons id finish and keep as a summer toy.
Or list her up for sale as is, at the price that you'd be willing to take for it. If no one comes with the right amount of cash, then keep it.

As it is, it needs front breaks, an engine mount and a belt...if it was me id keep it.
Im in the same position as yourself. Ive bought a gtv and by the time I've finished getting it to where i want it to be, id have bought a minter.
Prices are on the floor at the moment and if you can afford to keep it, keep it.

Pm for good price on parts for your 156 v6
